Privacy Policy

GRETTER · Last updated: October 4, 2026

GRETTER ("we," "us," or "our") is a 100% virtual tax resolution practice led by Gretter Hernandez, Enrolled Agent and Certified Acceptance Agent, serving clients worldwide. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, www.gretterus.com, and to the services we provide.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to do the work you hire us to do:

  • Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, and details about your tax situation when you contact us, book a consultation, or become a client.
  • Tax and financial records: IRS and state notices, tax returns, transcripts, bank and payroll records, and identification information needed to represent you or prepare filings. We ask for these only after you engage us or request a specific service.
  • Information collected automatically: basic technical data when you visit our website, such as browser type, device, pages viewed and approximate location, gathered through cookies and similar tools.

How We Use Your Information

  • To answer your questions and schedule consultations.
  • To review your situation, represent you before tax authorities, and prepare and file documents on your behalf.
  • To send service updates, invoices, and requests for documents.
  • To meet legal, tax, and professional obligations.
  • To maintain and improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your tax information for marketing.

Tax return information. Information we receive in connection with preparing or representing you on a tax matter is treated as confidential. We use it only to provide the services you requested and do not disclose it to others unless you give written consent, or the law or a valid legal process requires or permits us to.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to serve you:

  • Tax authorities: the IRS and state or local agencies, when we file or communicate on your behalf under your authorization.
  • Service providers: trusted business software and service providers that help us run the practice, such as website hosting, scheduling, email, document handling, and payment processing. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including limiting access to people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we encourage you to avoid sending sensitive documents by ordinary email and to use the secure methods we provide when you become a client.

Retention

We keep client records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, tax, and professional record-keeping requirements. When records are no longer needed, we dispose of them securely.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation. Some records must be retained by law, so we may not be able to delete everything on request. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

International Visitors

Because we serve clients worldwide, information you provide may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using our site or services, you understand that your information will be handled as described here.

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our website may link to other sites, including social media such as Instagram (@gretterus). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Terms of Service

GRETTER · Last updated: October 4, 2026

Welcome to GRETTER. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.gretterus.com and any consultation or service we provide. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to these Terms. If you hire us, our written engagement agreement also applies, and if the two conflict, the engagement agreement controls.

Who We Are

GRETTER is a 100% virtual tax resolution practice led by Gretter Hernandez, an Enrolled Agent and Certified Acceptance Agent. Enrolled Agents are federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. GRETTER is not a law firm, and nothing we provide is legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship.

Website Information Is General

The content on this website is for general information only. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice for your specific situation. Tax rules change often and depend on your facts, so please speak with us before acting on anything you read here.

No guaranteed outcome. Every case is different. Results described on this website, including our success rate, case counts, and client testimonials, reflect past experience and do not promise or predict the outcome of your matter. The final decision on any request for relief, settlement, or penalty abatement rests with the taxing authority, not with GRETTER.

Consultations and Services

  • Booking a consultation or contacting us does not by itself make you a client. A client relationship begins only when you and GRETTER both sign an engagement agreement.
  • The scope of work, fees, and payment terms for each engagement are stated in that agreement.
  • Services are provided remotely by phone, video, email, and secure online tools. We do not have a walk-in office.
  • Our office hours are 9 am to 6 pm Eastern Time. Messages sent outside those hours are answered on the next business day.

Your Responsibilities

  • Give us complete, accurate, and timely information and documents. Our work depends on what you provide.
  • Tell us right away about any notice, deadline, or contact from a taxing authority.
  • Understand that you remain responsible for the accuracy of the information on any return or filing you sign, and for paying any amounts you owe.
  • Keep your own copies of important records.

Fees and Payment

Fees are set out in your engagement agreement. Fees are for our professional services and are separate from any tax, penalty, or interest you owe, and from any payment you make to a taxing authority. Unless your agreement says otherwise, fees are not contingent on the result of your case.

Professional Standards

We practice in accordance with the rules that govern practice before the IRS, including Treasury Department Circular 230. We will not advise you to take a position that we believe has no reasonable basis, and we cannot help with any request involving false or misleading information.

Confidentiality

We keep your information confidential as described in our Privacy Policy. Please avoid sending sensitive documents through ordinary email; we will give you secure methods once you become a client.

Intellectual Property

The website's text, design, logo, and other content belong to GRETTER or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, modify, or resell our content without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GRETTER is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. For services, our liability is governed by your engagement agreement.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which GRETTER is registered to do business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state, unless your engagement agreement provides otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.
